Christian World View
BELIEVING IS SEEING- A course in Christian World View
A course on ‘worldviews’- why would you want to do that?
Want to know how to be Christian in your business not just at the business?
Want a tool for evangelism, knowing why the neighbour just doesn’t “hear” you?
Want to develop a Christian perspective on your studies at university or TAFE?
If you want to achieve any of these things you should take the course in ‘worldviews’. It’s not a course in philosophy, but a very biblical, insightful, practical approach to understand how we can live “all of life for Christ”.
This course aims to give students a basic understanding of world views, such that they are able to integrate what they learn into their further tertiary studies and /or every day life, being able to develop a more distinctly Christian approach to learning, work, and life.
Those who would benefit from this course include:
- Students entering tertiary studies (eg. university, TAFE) who need to develop the skill to analyze the underlying assumptions of their lecturers and critique what is taught from a Christian perspective.
- Theological students who need to develop an understanding of how the Christian faith affects all of our life, not just the so called “religious” parts of life.
- Teachers in Christian schools who need to develop their curriculum from a more distinctly Christian perspective.
- Interested Christians who want to consider more seriously how they can live for Christ in all of life, including their trade, profession or business.
This course is designed as self paced and self learning. To assist in this the material is laid out in a particular manner. The course material introduces you to the concepts and information you need to learn and you are encouraged to interact with like being in conversation with the course writer. The course is designed not just to be an academic exercise, but a practical reflection on your own life. You are encouraged in your own walk with the Lord to consider how you can love Him “with all your heart and all your soul and all your strength.”
